Here I am making jewellery in my Auckland studio, working with a large selection of materials from the Pacific region,
From New Zealand South Island, The "pounamu" greenstone and the blue "paua" shell.
From the Tuamotu Islands in Tahiti, the black pearl and it's nacre's
From Australia Broome, the "pinctada" large white mother of pearl shell and from Coober Pedy, the colourful opal's
Embracing their unique qualities an creating contemporary jewellery designs, reflecting my European heritage and observation/interpretation of cultural influences here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
